A political controversy has broken out in Tamil Nadu regarding book procurement for a ₹300-crore library in Coimbatore. The issue flared up after Sahitya Akademi winner Perumal Murugan alleged large-scale corruption and a book-buying scam, leading TVK and DMK to blame each other.
