The District Medical & Health Officer of West Khasi Hills District, Dr. M.K. Sohliya, hosted World No Tobacco Day 2026 at the New Nongstoin Complex Auditorium. Speakers included Dr. N. Mawrie, State Nodal Officer, NTCP & NOHP, who urged individuals to start the fight against tobacco. The event saw students, officials and others in attendance, and awards were presented.
