External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar led a meeting of India’s diplomatic heads in Africa in Addis Ababa. He highlighted India‑Africa ties rooted in Global South solidarity, strategic autonomy, multipolarity and shared development goals, and urged future partnerships to build capabilities rather than create dependencies. He also called for a reformed UN Security Council with fair African representation.
